Joshua Chappell has an extensive work experience in various IT roles. Joshua currently serves as the Vice President of IT & Innovation at PICA, where they focus on modernizing product delivery and driving digital transformation. Joshua has successfully built an innovation practice and fostered a culture of experimental thinking. Prior to this, Joshua was the Assistant Vice President of IT at PICA, where they led IT strategy and enabled digital transformation initiatives.

Before joining PICA, Joshua worked at Acklen Avenue as a Senior Engagement Manager and Engagement Manager, where they were responsible for successful delivery to external customers, defining requirements, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Joshua also supported the sales team and ensured functionality and usability of the products.

Joshua's previous experience includes working as an SAP EHSM Functional Consultant at ERM: Environmental Resources Management and as an independent consultant. In these roles, they focused on implementing SAP's EHSM application to improve regulatory compliance and safety procedures.

Joshua started their career at Podiatry Insurance Company of America (PICA), where they held various roles including Director of Application Development, Application Development Manager, and Programmer/Analyst. Joshua oversaw software development goals, managed the IT budget, and led the Agile transformation within the organization.

Earlier in their career, Joshua worked at Universal Lighting Technologies as an Application Developer and System Support Analyst.

Joshua Chappell holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Trevecca Nazarene University, which they completed between 2007 and 2009. Joshua also earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. Prior to that, they pursued an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Computer Information Systems at Nashville State Community College from 2001 to 2003. In addition to their academic qualifications, they obtained the certification of Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from Scrum Alliance in April 2019. Currently, Joshua Chappell is enrolled in the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, where they are completing a program in Berkeley Fintech: Frameworks, Applications, and Strategies, which is expected to conclude in 2022.
