Eric Mackintosh, Ph.D.

Eric Mackintosh, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Eric is currently the Head of Academic Operations at Podium Education since August 2022. Prior to Podium Education, Eric worked at International Studies Abroad (ISA) from June 2012 to June 2020. Eric held various roles, including Associate Vice President of Research & Data Analytics, Director of ISA Video, and Director of Academic Resources and Assessment. In these positions, they managed learning management system implementation, coded curriculum-related content, and designed curriculum and training programs.

Before joining ISA, Eric was a University Instructor at Tulane University from August 2008 to May 2012. Eric developed and taught college-level courses in Latin American Studies, covering various subjects including history, economics, political science, sociology, and cultural studies. Additionally, they taught courses on political economics of development and sustainable development practices.

Eric's work experience also includes serving as a Community Agroforestry Technician in the Peace Corps from February 2003 to May 2005. Later, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued a Master's Degree in Latin American Studies from Tulane University. Continuing their studies, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Latin American Studies at Tulane University from 2008 to 2012.

In addition to their formal education, Eric Mackintosh also holds various certifications. In June 2018, they obtained a certification in Digital Photography from Austin Community College. Eric also holds a Data Foundations Certificate from Udacity, which they obtained in September 2017.
