Brewed in Bohemia, around 60 km from Prague, Podkovan brings together centuries of Czech brewing tradition, high-quality ingredients and a distinctive sense of place. The brewery is known for traditional methods including open fermentation, cold maturation and lagering in horizontal tanks set into natural stone cellar walls.

At the heart of Podkovan is a simple idea: beer should have character, balance and authenticity. Our launch range focuses on two 4.8% Czech lagers, brewed for drinkability but with more depth than standard mainstream options.

Podkovan Classic Czech Lager is clean, crisp and refreshing, with the balance and character expected from a proper Czech-style lager.

Podkovan Dark Czech Lager is smooth, rich and approachable, with gentle caramel, roasted and chocolate notes, offering UK drinkers something distinctive without being heavy.

For the UK market, Podkovan is represented by BalTraWed UK Limited, trading as Podkovan. We are building the brand for pubs, bars, restaurants, wholesalers, retailers and venues looking for authentic Czech beer with real provenance and a strong trade story.
