Andrea Zavadil

Andrea Zavadil is a Research Scientist at POET since June 2022, with a robust background in microbiology and biotechnology. Previous experience includes working as a Research Development Laboratory Technician at CTE Global Inc. and as a Graduate Research Assistant at South Dakota State University, where Andrea conducted experiments on fungal pretreatments for soybean varieties to enhance secondary metabolite production. Andrea's expertise encompasses conducting fermentation experiments, utilizing various laboratory equipment, and performing molecular biology techniques. An educational foundation includes a Master of Science in Microbiology and a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Microbiology, both from South Dakota State University. Early career roles include internships and research assistance, contributing to a comprehensive skill set in research and development within agricultural applications.
