Lukas Sedlacek

Lukas Sedlacek has a long and varied work experience. Lukas began their career in 2003 as an organizer and chair of discussions for the Association for International Affairs. In 2005, they became the Founder & Editor-in-Chief of Euroskop.cz for the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic. In 2007, they were the Project Manager for NGO Yes to Europe (ANO pro Evropu) and the President of the Universities of Oxford & Cambridge Alumni Network Shanghai, where they achieved an increase of membership from 22 members to 95 members. In 2008, they were the Senior Policy Analyst for the Ministry of Defence Czech Republic and a Lecturer at New York University and Anglo-American University. In 2009, they were the Chief EU Projects Coordinator and Senior Business Development Manager, Senior Project Manager for Telefonica O2. In 2010, they founded the European Leadership & Academic Institute (ELAI). In 2015, they founded Třden inovací ČR 2021, the largest event in the area of innovations of the Czech Republic with over 10,000 participants at the Main and 100+ Accompanying Events. In 2018, they founded Poetizer, a dynamically growing technological start-up whose aim is to innovate the publishing industry globally.

Lukas Sedlacek began their educational journey in 2000, when they enrolled at Charles University to pursue a degree in Comparative Religion and Jewish studies. In 2001, they began a Bachelor's degree in International Area Studies at the same university, which they completed in 2004. In the same year, they also completed a program in International Relations at the University of Otago. Lukas then went on to earn a PhDr. (Doctor of Philosophy) in European studies from Charles University in 2006, followed by an M. Phil. (Master of Philosophy) in International Relations from the University of Cambridge in 2007.
