Mike Hornby-Smith

Mike Hornby-Smith has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Mike began their professional career at Agrium in 2002 as an Analyst, where they worked for five years in IT departments and played a significant role in building the corporate culture. Mike then joined RPO Management Consultants as an Associate before moving on to SECOR, where they worked as a Director, delivering high-value solutions to clients in areas such as strategy, operations, business intelligence, analytics, technology, and process improvement. In 2013, Hornby-Smith joined CHC Helicopter as the Director of Strategy, leading a team responsible for various projects and initiatives. After that, they joined The LEADER Project as the Co-Chairman of the Advisory Board, and finally, in 2015, they joined PlentyOfFish. At PlentyOfFish, they held roles such as Director of Strategy & Analytics, VP Engineering, SVP, Technology, and most recently, CTO.

Mike Hornby-Smith completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the University of Calgary, from 1998 to 2002. Mike then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University, from 2007 to 2008.
