Mike Kurdziel

Mike Kurdziel is currently the Backend Lead at Point One Navigation. Prior to that, they were a Principal Engineering Partner at Noatta from July 2014 to December 2019. Mike was also a Staff Engineer at Hightail - formerly YouSendIt from September 2013 to June 2016.

Mike has a wealth of experience in engineering, ops, and architecture. Mike was the primary engineer for both the front-end and back-end at Noatta. Mike was also the primary OPS developer, using AWS, Opsworks, Chef, Bitbucket, and Codeship.io. At Hightail, they were the API Architect for their next-generation file sharing service, Hightail Spaces.

Mike is skilled in developing secure and scalable APIs, as well as in managing privileges and permissions. Mike has also developed a suite of secure and segregated APIs for customer support and system administration. In addition, they have experience in developing Preview/Thumbnail Generation Engines to convert images, documents, and media files into sized, optimized assets for web or mobile viewing.

Mike Kurdziel has a Master of Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.
