System Safety Engineer at Point One Navigation

Phuc V. has been working in the engineering field since 2017. In that year, they began as an Information Technology Intern at UTC Aerospace Systems. In 2018, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Pratt & Whitney. In 2019, they moved to Collins Aerospace as a Safety and Reliability Engineer, where they developed Safety Data Packages for Environmental Control and Life Support Systems (ECLSS) on ISS, supported Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews of ECLSS hardware, and developed and evaluated root cause and corrective actions using standard engineering techniques (Fault Tree, Event Tree). Currently, they are employed as a System Safety Engineer at Point One Navigation.

Phuc V. attended Cornell University from 2016 to 2018, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. From 2020 to 2022, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Systems Engineering. In 2021, they obtained an Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification from the International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE). Additionally, in 2022, they obtained an Introduction to Cybersecurity certification from Udacity.
