Lafe Metz is a trustee at Point Park University. Lafe has over 25 years of experience in real estate law, tax law, and real estate development.

Lafe Metz began their career as a summer intern at the EEOC in 1997. Lafe then worked as a summer associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in 1998. After receiving offers from both the Tax Group and Business Group, they decided to join the Tax Group.

In 2000, Lafe Metz joined Wolf Block as a tax and real estate attorney. Lafe worked on state and local tax litigation, federal, state, and local tax exemption applications and appeals, transactional planning for state and local tax issues, real estate development, and real estate leasing.

In 2005, Lafe Metz joined Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC as the Chair of the Real Estate Group. Lafe has worked on real estate transactions, real estate development, real estate finance, complex leasing, transactional planning for tax efficiency, property tax appeals, and tax exemptions (federal, state & local).

Lafe Metz has a J.D. from University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, an LL.M. in Tax from New York University School of Law, and a B.A. in English and Economics from Cornell University. Lafe is certified by the Ohio State Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
