Matt Brady

Matt Brady has a diverse work experience spanning several industries.

Matt began their career as a Summer Associate at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in 2006. Matt also worked as a Law Clerk at the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office before joining Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman as an Associate in 2007.

In 2009, Matt served as a Deputy District Attorney at the Marin County District Attorney's Office, where they tried misdemeanor cases and argued motions. Matt then worked as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Bernard Zimmerman at the U.S. District Court, where they researched and drafted orders on various types of motions and managed externs.

From 2010 to 2014, Matt served as a Senior Associate at Reed Smith LLP, representing financial institutions in appellate, individual, and consumer class actions. During their time at SolarCity in 2015, they worked as a Counsel and Senior Counsel, handling various legal issues related to consumer finance and residential solar systems.

In 2016, Matt joined Point, a leading marketplace for home equity investments, where they took on roles in Legal, Ops, and Finance. Matt then became a Founding Member at TechGC in 2017.

Their most recent position was as Counsel to the Board of Directors at SchoolForce, the Belmont-Redwood Shores Public School Foundation, where they provided legal advice on a range of issues related to K-8 education. Their volunteer role at SchoolForce lasted from 2018 to 2021.

Matt Brady's education history starts in 1995 when they graduated from St. Ignatius College Preparatory with a High School Diploma. Matt then attended UCLA from 1999 to 2003, earning a Bachelor's degree in political science. After that, from 2004 to 2007, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree at the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). In terms of additional certifications, Matt obtained a Real Estate Broker certification from the California Bureau of Real Estate in December 2016.
