Robert B.

Robert B. has extensive work experience in the field of DevOps and software engineering. Robert most recently worked as a Lead DevOps Engineer at Point starting in 2023. Prior to that, they held various roles at Spotify from 2020 to 2023, including DevOps Technical Lead and DevOps Engineer.

Before joining Spotify, Robert worked at Capital One from 2018 to 2020 as a Cloud Engineer, where they led a team in supporting multiple stakeholders and projects within an Agile environment. Robert also worked as a Software Engineer at Capital One, where they worked on several projects simultaneously, including developing a centralized network device database repository and mitigating DDoS attacks.

Robert's career began at the US Army in 2005, where they served as a Software Engineer, Language Analyst, and Staff Sergeant. Robert acquired advanced coding skills and learned Arabic while leading a team of 30 and collaborating with NSA stakeholders.

In addition to their civilian work, Robert had previous experience with CACI International Inc as a Systems Engineer and Signals Intelligence Analyst, and with Canyon Angels as an IT Due Diligence Analyst.

Robert B. has completed a coding bootcamp at Byte Academy, where they studied JavaScript. Prior to that, they also participated in a program at the National Security Agency (NSA) called SASMO (Signal Intelligence Analytics Support to Military Operations). While there, they learned Python, SQL, and various software engineering principles.
