Alan Kissane

Alan Kissane has extensive experience in database engineering and system development, currently serving as a System Engineer focusing on Database Technology at Point72 since 2013. In this role, Alan has led the deployment and management of MongoDB systems within the newly established Database Engineering team. Prior to Point72, Alan held various positions at S.A.C. Capital Advisors, including Vice President of Database Development and Database Support, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing production database servers and enhancing database performance through strategic development. Early career achievements at Instinet Incorporated involved directing real-time trading system architecture and database management. Alan's educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in History from Grinnell College and multiple credentials in programming from NYU School of Professional Studies.
