Sam Lawrence has a diverse work experience of over 8 years, beginning in 2013. Sam started their career as a Support Engineer at TourBuzz, where they supported professional photographers with image hosting services and SMB admin software. Sam then moved on to become a QA Engineer at Omnico Group, maintaining quality on Windows Embedded Point of Sale systems and data parsing tools for enterprise clients. In 2014, they joined StrataCloud as a QA Engineer, managing quality and assisting in full product lifecycle of tools for deployment, management, and monitoring of enterprise converged infrastructure.
In 2016, they became the Editor In Chief at Bullet Music, and then in 2017 they held two QA Analyst positions, one at Dragon Army and the other at Intercontinental Exchange. At Dragon Army, they were part of a small QA team working to maintain quality on web, mobile (iOS/Android), and connected devices (Amazon Echo) for a sports video streaming service, plus other projects for clients in education, food service, and retail. At Intercontinental Exchange, they were responsible for manual and automated QA on enterprise deployment of ServiceNow supporting thousands of users.
In 2018, Sam Lawrence joined AchieveIt as a QA Engineer, where they were part of a two-person QA team, managing quality on a React/Angular hybrid Enterprise Saas BI tool. In 2019, they were hired at Tin Roof Software, which was acquired by Cognizant Softvision, and they were the Lead QA Engineer on multiple client projects. Finally, in 2021, they became the QA Lead at Pointivo, where they lead the QA team and drives test development in Cypress, making sure that they can confidently deliver world-class software to their demanding customers across multiple industries.
Sam Lawrence attended Geneva Academy from 2002 to 2006, graduating with a High School Diploma in General Education. Sam then attended Georgia Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2009, receiving a B.S. in International Affairs and Spanish.
