Paul (Skip) Olmsted has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Paul (Skip) started their career as a Promo Dude at the Seattle SuperSonics from 1992 to 1996. Paul (Skip) then worked as a Teacher in the Lake Washington School District from 1999 to 2000. Following that, they held the position of Technical Support Specialist at Sierra Online from 2000 to 2001. Paul (Skip) worked as an IT Technician at AMMEX Corporation from February 2002 to September 2002 and as an Intern - Professional Services at RealNetworks from July 2002 to October 2002. Paul (Skip) Olmsted has a diverse education history. Paul (Skip) attended Meadowdale High School from 1989 to 1993, where they did not receive a degree or specify a field of study. Then, from 1993 to 1994, they pursued an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Law Enforcement at Black Hawk College. Subsequently, Olmsted enrolled at Central Washington University from 1995 to 1998 and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History Education. In the same year, they also briefly studied at Edmonds College, focusing on General studies without obtaining a degree.

Furthermore, Olmsted expanded their expertise with additional certifications. In October 2022, they became a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner, completing the program offered by Prosci.
