Nygel Gomes

Nygel Gomes is a Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Analyst at Polaris MEP since January 2024, focusing on consulting for small to medium-sized Rhode Island businesses to ensure compliance with Department of Defense guidelines. Currently serving as President and previously Vice President of the InfoSecurity organization at Rhode Island College, Nygel is dedicated to educating the community on cybersecurity practices and ethical hacking. Nygel's experience also includes technical support roles at Rhode Island College, developing educational activities in ethical hacking for high school students, and founding CMD Tutor. With prior experience as a Back End Developer intern at Infosys and serving as Team Manager for AFA CyberPatriot competitions, Nygel is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, with minors in Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence at Rhode Island College.
