Laurel Downie has a diverse work experience spanning from 2015 to present. Currently, they work at Polaris as an Anti-Trafficking Advocate Supervisor and previously worked as an Anti-Trafficking Advocate. In 2019, Laurel also worked at NARAL Pro-Choice America as a Phone Canvasser. In terms of their earlier experiences, Laurel worked at Gettysburg College as a Student Tour Guide and Presenter, where they led campus tours and organized campus events. Laurel also held the position of Program Coordinator at the Women's and LGBTQA Advocacy and Education Center. Additionally, Laurel worked as a Legislative Intern for Representative Paul Tonko at the U.S. House of Representatives in 2017. In 2016, they worked as a Research Assistant at Albany Medical Center and as a Health Center Advocacy Intern at Planned Parenthood Keystone.
