Derek Yan

Derek Z. H. Yan is the CTO, cofounder, and Board of Directors at Polarr, where Derek Z. H. leads various aspects such as strategy, AI research, engineering, product, and partnerships. Prior to Polarr, Derek worked as a Graduate Researcher at Stanford University on Project Soli at Google ATAP, and as an Advanced Design Engineer at Altera. Their educational background includes a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Derek has also held positions as a Research Associate, IT Technician, and Manufacturing Engineering Intern at various companies.
