Annelijn Vernooij

Annelijn Vernooij has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. In 2012, they worked as a Workshop Instructor at the Science Centre Delft. In 2016, they joined Vodafone as a Graduate Intern, where they focused on consumer services and implemented a customer-centric approach to improve sales.

In 2016, they also participated in the RTL digital traineeship, where they worked on projects related to service design and product development. Annelijn was responsible for user research and the redesign of the registration and login flow for RTL Nieuws & RTLZ. Annelijn later became a Product Development Manager (Product Owner) for the Buienradar apps at RTL.

From 2018 to 2021, Annelijn worked at We Are Off The Record as a Product & Growth consultant, where they helped startups, scale-ups, and corporates shape their value propositions, validate user adoption, and design scalable products.

In 2021, they joined Pieter Pot as a Product & UX Lead. In this role, they designed and created a product that focused on waste-free shopping. Their team was successful in growing the active customer base from 300 orders per week to approximately 3500.

Currently, Annelijn is a Product Manager at Polarsteps, a position they started in 2023.

Annelijn Vernooij obtained their Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design Engineering from Delft University of Technology, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. Annelijn then pursued a Master's degree in Strategic Product Design at the same university from 2014 to 2016.

During their Master's program, they also had the opportunity to take elective courses at DTU - Technical University of Denmark in the field of Strategic Product Design from 2015 to 2016.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Annelijn Vernooij obtained a certification as a Professional Scrum Product Owner from Scrum.org in May 2018.
