Jimmy Arts has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2012, they worked as an intern at Omroep Venlo, where they gained experience in editing TV programs and filming news items. In 2014, they worked as an iOS Developer at Triple before moving to Djozz BV, where they completed a trainee role focused on developing a thermal imaging application. In 2016, they joined Albert Heijn as an iOS Developer and later became a Technical Lead. Jimmy worked there until 2023, during which they also worked as a Writer at JimmyOnSwift from 2019. Currently, they are the Lead iOS Engineer at Polarsteps, contributing to the development of a travel planning and tracking application.
Jimmy Arts attended Zuyd Hogeschool (Zuyd University of Applied Sciences) from 2010 to 2014, where they earned a degree in HBO in the field of Communication and Multimedia Design. In 2013, they briefly attended FH Aachen University of Applied Sciences and Katholieke Hogeschool Limburg, but it is unclear if they obtained any degrees or field of study from these institutions. Prior to their university education, Jimmy completed their Havo degree in Economy and Society at Bisschoppelijk College Broekhin from 2004 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Jimmy Arts also obtained a certification in Database Design and Programming With SQL from Oracle Academy @ KhNURE in April 2010.
