Matthew Gilbert

Matthew Gilbert is the Head of Communications at Polen Capital since September 2023, responsible for leading internal and external communications for the firm. Prior experience at Polen Capital includes roles as Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, and Internal Communications Manager, where responsibilities involved creating presentation materials, managing organizational messaging, and enhancing company culture communication. Matthew's extensive background in communications was further developed during a 17-year tenure at EY, culminating as Associate Director, Communications, where efforts included crafting internal communications for over 300,000 employees worldwide and leading the communications response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Additional experience includes positions as a boxing writer, editor, and public relations coordinator across various media organizations. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Communication from the University of Delaware.
