Mathias Sandberg

Mathias Sandberg is an accomplished surface designer with extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently working at Polestar since March 2022. Prior to this, Mathias served as Surface Design Lead at Volvo Car Group from November 2013 to March 2022, leading projects such as Polestar 1 and the Volvo XC40 ReCharge. Mathias founded Shape Consulting AB from February 2014 to February 2017 and also held surface design roles at Audi AG and Volvo Trucks, contributing to notable designs including the new TT steering wheel and the exterior of Volvo FM/FMX. Mathias began the career at Volvo Car Corporation, where work included interior design for the XC60. The educational background includes studies from 2004 to 2006.
