Simon Hatfield

Simon Hatfield is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in vehicle development and management. Currently serving as the Function Group Programme Manager for Test and Development at Polestar since June 2022, Simon has a strong background in engineering leadership from roles at David Brown Automotive and Aston Martin Lagonda Ltd, where responsibilities included overseeing vehicle engineering and the delivery of notable car programs. Prior positions also include leadership at Jaguar Land Rover and engineering roles at Lotus Cars and PSA Peugeot Citroën. Simon holds a BSc Hons in Automotive Design and Technology from The University of Huddersfield and was educated at Headlands Secondary School and Community Science College, completing A Levels in Maths, Physics, Electronics, and General Studies.
