Stavan Desai

Stavan Desai has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and journalism. Stavan is currently working at the Police Federation of England and Wales as the Acting Head of Communications. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Communications Officer at the same organization.

Before joining the Police Federation, Stavan worked at The Sandesh Limited as a Resident Editor and later as the Editorial Head-Special Projects. Stavan also worked as a Mentor for the Bachelor of Journalism and Communication program at Navrachna University.

Stavan has held leadership positions in the media industry, serving as Chairman of Inkpot Publications Pvt. Ltd and Chief Editor at Loksatta-Jansatta. Stavan also worked as the Executive Editor at Dainik Bhaskar Group and as a Senior Assistant Editor at HT Media Ltd.

Their early career saw him working as a Special Correspondent at The Indian Express. Stavan's work experience spans over two decades and showcases their expertise in journalism and communication.

Stavan Desai completed their education at two different institutions. From 1999 to 2001, they attended Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara and obtained a Master of Communication Studies degree with a focus on Journalism. In 2020, they enrolled at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where they completed an MSc in International Social and Public Policy, specializing in Public Policy Analysis.
