Kristin Lupfer

Kristin Lupfer is the Program Area Director at Policy Research Associates. Kristin has over 10 years of experience working in the social services and non-profit sector. Kristin began their career as a Paralegal/Advocate at the Georgia Law Center for the Homeless. In this role, they provided legal assistance to low-income individuals who were facing eviction or foreclosure. Kristin also helped them navigate the public benefits system and connect with social service agencies.

In 2007, Kristin began working at the Georgia Department of Human Resources as the SOAR Project Specialist. In this role, they implemented the state SOAR project, which provides services and support to individuals with mental illness who are applying for Social Security disability benefits. Kristin also distributed the monthly Georgia SOAR Network newsletter, facilitated Southeastern SOAR Consortium meetings, and supervised a team of benefits specialists.

Kristin has been with Policy Research Associates since 2009. In their current role as Program Area Director, they oversee a team of research associates who provide technical assistance and evaluation services to government agencies and non-profit organizations.

Kristin Lupfer has a Master of Social Work from Columbia University's Columbia School of Social Work and a B.A. in Religion from Berry College.
