Sheri Dunn Berry is a nonprofit and philanthropic leader with over 30 years of experience guiding and managing community-building, social justice, and faith-based organizations and networks. Currently serving as a Resource Council Strategist with the Wend Collective, a social impact fund, she draws on her expertise in program, organizational, and resource development to support Wend’s philanthropic investments and partnerships. From 2013 to 2020, Sheri was the first-ever director of programs for Community Partners where she served on the senior leadership team, led the fiscal sponsorship program of over 180 projects, guided the organization’s strategic initiatives and intermediary partnerships, and managed a portfolio of close to 20 projects. Sheri has previously served as the executive director of the Los Angeles United Methodist Urban Foundation and was the founding executive director of the National Community Building Network. She has also held policy and development positions at RCNO Training Center, Children Now, and the Urban Strategies Council. Sheri currently chairs the Board of Directors for PolicyLink, is a member of the Irvine Foundation’s Leadership Awards Selection Committee, and serves on the advisory board for Kid City Hope Place. She recently chaired the steering committee for the National Network of Fiscal Sponsors and served on the advisory council for Antioch University’s Nonprofit Management Program. Sheri received an undergraduate degree in public affairs from UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Southern California.
