Danial Sahak

Danial Sahak has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Danial started their career as a Perdana Fellow, serving as an executive intern to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia. In this role, they assisted in planning and executing government policies and communication efforts.

After completing their internship, Danial worked in the Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre (MaGIC) as part of a team focused on developing the social entrepreneurship sector in Malaysia. Danial was involved in facilitating the growth of social entrepreneurship startups and organizing events such as the Amplify Awards.

Danial then gained experience in the engineering field by working as an Underground Building Services employee at MRT Corporation Sdn Bhd. Here, they gained knowledge in areas such as fire fighting systems and HVAC by working with professional engineers on a major project.

Continuing to expand their skill set, Danial worked as a Cafe All Rounder at OliverBrown, where they gained experience in the food and beverage industry.

In 2018, Danial joined BAT (British American Tobacco) as a Global Graduate, rotating through various departments within marketing. Danial successfully completed projects in trade, business development, brand, and strategic planning. Notable achievements include classifying outlets, saving costs through analysis, and pioneering an automated launch tracker.

Danial's most recent roles include being a Brand Activation Executive at BAT, where they led the activation initiatives for the first cigarillo product by Dunhill in Malaysia, achieving significant market share within the first week of launch. Danial also served as a Community Development & Partnership Lead at YAS MicroInsurance.

Currently, Danial Sahak is working as a Partnership Manager at PolicyStreet.

Danial Sahak began their education in 2006, attending Victoria Institution in Kuala Lumpur, where they obtained a Lower Secondary Certificate of Education (PMR) before moving on to MARA Junior Science College in Taiping from 2008 to 2011. There, they completed the Malaysian Educational Certificate (SPM) in the Science Stream.

In 2011, Danial enrolled at MARA College Banting, where they pursued an International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB) in Engineering. Danial completed this program in 2013.

Following their graduation from MARA College Banting, Danial Sahak attended the University of Sydney from 2013 to 2017. Danial obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering.

In terms of additional certifications, Danial obtained the Fundamentals of Digital Marketing certification from Google in June 2021.
