Jorge Fernández Hernández

Jorge Fernández Hernández has a strong background in scientific research and leadership. Jorge began their career as a Researcher at the University of the Basque Country in 2011, before becoming a PhD student in 2012. After completing their PhD, they continued their research at the University as a Postdoctoral researcher from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, Jorge joined Polimerbio as the Scientific Director, where they continue to contribute their expertise in the field.

In 2004, they enrolled at the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. Jorge successfully completed the program in 2009.

Following their undergraduate studies, Jorge joined the same university for a Master's in Advanced Materials Engineering from 2009 to 2010.

Jorge continued their academic pursuits and, with an undefined start year, attained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea in 2016.

Although the years of enrollment are not specified, Jorge completed an Advanced Management Programme for Entrepreneurs (PADEM) at BIC GIPUZKOA, specializing in entrepreneurship. This program concluded in 2017.

More recently, in 2022, Jorge attended the Basque Health Cluster to pursue an Expert course on the regulation of medical devices, which they completed in 2023.
