Kate Day

Kate Day serves as the Deputy Editor In Chief at POLITICO Europe since November 2015, focusing on the UK market. Previously, Kate held various editorial positions at POLITICO, including Executive Editor and Editor for the UK, where responsibilities included building and managing POLITICO's UK operations. Prior to joining POLITICO, Kate worked at Telegraph Media Group from May 2007 to April 2015, assuming roles such as Editorial Director of Growth and Director of Digital Content, overseeing the company's digital output and innovative projects. Earlier experience includes positions as Social Media and Engagement Editor, Communities Editor, Content Editor, Online Journalist, and a role as co-host for a photography and law podcast at PhotoLegal, alongside reporting for the Los Altos Town Crier. Kate holds a PG Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from City St George’s, University of London, and a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford.
