Pieter Haeck

Pieter Haeck is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in tech reporting and business journalism. Currently serving as a Senior Tech Reporter at POLITICO Europe since May 2021, Pieter leads the daily tech newsletter Morning Tech, focusing on tech policy. Prior to this role, Pieter worked at De Tijd from July 2013 to April 2021, where engagement included reporting and serving as a journalist. A brief stint at Het Financieele Dagblad occurred in late 2020 as part of a journalist exchange program. Earlier experiences include freelance journalism for various publications and positions at Veto, Belgium's largest student newspaper, where leadership roles included Editor in Chief. Pieter holds a Master's degree in Economics of the Public Sector and a Master's degree in International Politics from KU Leuven, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from UVSQ Université de Versailles.
