Journalist at Politiken

Lea Wind-Friis has extensive work experience in journalism. Lea started off as an intern at Politiken in 2004, where they worked on various assignments including reporting on the European Parliament hearings and negotiations about Turkey, visiting top-performing schools in Finland, and covering the aftermath of the tsunami in Phuket, Thailand. Lea was also involved with PS, Udland, Erhverv, and Lørdagsliv departments during their internship. In 2005, Lea worked as a freelance journalist for Politiken, contributing articles to iBYEN and PS and conducting research in Yemen for their thesis. Lea also participated in the creation of 24timeravis, a newspaper focused on impartial coverage of Christiania. Lea then returned to Politiken in 2006 as a journalist for their cultural department, where they write features, news, profiles, and conducts investigative journalism.

Lea Wind-Friis attended Roskilde University from 1999 to 2006, where they obtained a Master's degree in Cand.scient.soc.
