Taylor Carson is an experienced public relations and economic development professional with a strong background in communication and management. Currently serving as the Public Relations Manager for the Polk County Clerk of Courts and Comptroller since June 2019, Taylor previously held the position of Economic Development Manager at Highlands County Economic Development from July 2016 to June 2019. Prior experience includes roles in business development at the Polk County Clerk of the Circuit Court and County Comptroller and as a Communications Specialist for the Polk County Board of County Commissioners. Taylor’s earlier positions also encompass public relations with the American Le Mans Series, development coordination at Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center, and community relations at South Florida State College. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations, Business and Event Management from the University of Florida in 2009.
