Fred Heid is an experienced educational leader currently serving as the Superintendent of Polk County School Board since June 2021 and previously held the same title at Community School District 300. With a background as Chief Academic Officer for Duval County Public Schools, Heid has extensive expertise in strategic planning, instructional services, and organizational leadership. Fred has a proven record of improving school performance, notably raising the grade of Memorial Middle School from a "D" to a "C" and significantly increasing IB enrollment. Heid's administrative acumen is supported by a Doctor of Education from Capella University and a Master of Education from the University of South Florida, enhancing their capacity to drive educational improvement and policy implementation within various school districts and state education departments.
