Alex Kerr is a professional with extensive experience in emergency services and public safety. Currently serving as a Medicolegal Death Investigator at the Polk County Medical Examiner’s Office since September 2023, Alex also holds roles as a 911 Public Safety Telecommunicator, Communications Training Officer, and Tactical Dispatcher at Westcom Emergency Communications, along with being a Reserve Deputy at the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Previous positions include Clinical Educator at Broadlawns Medical Center, Patrol Officer providing safety at Polk County Hospital, and intern with the Norwalk Police Department, where Alex contributed to research for a Department of Justice grant. Academic achievements include a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice/Police Science and Applied Philosophy from Simpson College. Additionally, Alex has a background in bookkeeping, security, and respite care, showcasing a diverse skill set dedicated to serving the community.
