Gavin Wood

Gavin Wood is the co-founder of Polkadot and a former Ethereum Foundation CTO. Gavin is also the founder of Parity Technologies, a blockchain software company. Gavin has been involved in the development of the Ethereum protocol and the Solidity smart contract language. Gavin is also the creator of the Web3 Foundation, which is dedicated to the development of the decentralized web.

Gavin Wood attended the Lancaster Royal Grammar School before completing a Master of Engineering in Computer Systems/Software Engineering at the University of York. Gavin then went on to complete a Doctor of Philosophy in Music Visualisation for Human Computer Interfacing at the same school.
