Rob Hale

Rob Hale has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Rob currently serves as a Principal Software Engineer at Polly (formerly DealerPolicy) since February 2021. Prior to this, from 2018 to February 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Inntopia, where they provided technical leadership in building the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery capabilities of the development team.

From 2016 to 2020, Rob worked as an Executive Fellow at BTV Ignite, where they facilitated and convened projects and ongoing education and training initiatives. Simultaneously, from 2016 to 2018, they served as a Principle Software Engineer at NRG Systems, where they played a senior leadership role in designing and developing software and led a major refactoring project to improve performance.

Rob has also worked at MyWebGrocer from 2009 to 2016, holding multiple roles such as Principal Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, and Software Development Manager. During this time, they were responsible for designing, coding, documenting, and testing eCommerce grocery shopping solutions and supporting systems. Rob introduced best practices in areas such as continuous integration build automation and led the development of the company's first international eCommerce installation.

Earlier in their career, Rob worked as a Staff Programmer at Harmony Information Systems from 2007 to 2008, where they developed solutions for the health and human services market. Rob also served as a Lead Software Engineer at GE Healthcare from 2006 to 2007, working on Imaging solutions and improving the user experience.

Finally, from 1993 to 2006, Rob held the position of Senior Software Engineer at IDX Systems Corporation, where they gained extensive experience in software engineering.

Rob Hale attended Saint Anselm College from 1986 to 1990 and received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History. In 2011, they also participated in the Management Excellence Seminar Series at Champlain College.
