Tingting Huan

Tingting Huan, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Connecticut, where they conducted lectures, led discussion sections, and volunteered as a speaker in TA Orientation. In 2014, they worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at The University of British Columbia, focusing on generalizing thesis work and designing and teaching calculus courses.

In 2015, Tingting joined the College of the Holy Cross as a Visiting Assistant Professor, teaching mathematics classes, managing online classroom systems, and utilizing software programs for instruction. Tingting then moved on to Plymouth Rock Assurance in 2016, starting as a Data Scientist Intern before becoming a Data Scientist and then a Senior Data Scientist. Tingting led data science initiatives, contributed to research on growth and profitability, and led the development of the company's product features and pricing.

Most recently, Tingting joined Polly in 2021. Tingting initially worked as a Manager, Insurance Performance before being promoted to the role of Director, Business Performance in 2023. The details of their responsibilities in these roles are not provided.

Tingting Huan, Ph.D. received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics from Hunan University from 2006 to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics at the University of Connecticut, completing their studies from 2010 to 2014. Tingting furthered their education at the University of Connecticut, obtaining a Master's degree in Applied Financial Mathematics between 2016 and 2017. To enhance their skills and expertise, they also obtained additional certifications such as the SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS9 from SAS in April 2017 and became a Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) from (CAP®) Certified Analytics Professional institute in January 2020.
