Chris Corliss

Chris Corliss has extensive work experience in the field of GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Chris is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Polly. Prior to their current role, they worked at geothinQ as a GIS Application Developer from October 2015 to June 2022. Before that, they were a GIS Analyst - Application Developer at Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co. from October 2014 to June 2022. In this role, they were responsible for GIS data acquisition, processing, and analysis, as well as creating Python geoprocessing scripts and tools.

Before joining Thomas & Hutton Engineering Co., Chris worked as a GIS Analyst at Tetra Tech from June 2009 to September 2014. In this position, they focused on data collection, compilation, management, and delivery for DoD Asset Management projects using various software tools like ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and SQL Server Management Studio. Chris also had experience with Python and C#.

Chris's early career includes a role as a Database Technician at Tennessee Valley Authority from August 2006 to May 2009. Here, they maintained an endangered species database using NatureServe's Biotics 4 biodiversity data management GIS software and ensured the quality and accuracy of data and mapping records.

Chris Corliss attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 2003 to 2008. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Geography.
