Chief Human Resources Officer at Polyconcept

Marilyn Figlar has extensive experience in Human Resources, having worked in various leadership roles in different companies over the years. Marilyn started their career as an HR Intern at Pfizer in 1990. From 1991 to 1993, they served as the Manager of Organizational Development and Human Resources at Inova Health System, where they implemented initiatives such as a new performance management system and employee survey. Marilyn then worked as an HR Consultant at DDI | Development Dimensions International from 1993 to 1996, providing consulting services in areas such as training, selection, assessment, and organizational change. Moving on, Marilyn joined Lockheed Martin in 1996 as the VP of Talent & Organization Capability at Corporate Headquarters, and later became the HR VP for a business unit based in Washington, DC. Marilyn led a global HR team and was responsible for implementing various human capital strategies. In 2013, they joined Kennametal as the VP of HR, where they supported the Business Segments and played a key role in driving top-line profitable growth and creating a high-performance culture. Currently, Marilyn is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Polyconcept, a position they have held since 2018.

Marilyn Figlar obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Resource Development from Virginia Tech from 1997 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned their Master of Science (MS) in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Radford University from 1989 to 1991. Marilyn also pursued a degree in Psychology & Communications at the University of Pittsburgh from 1984 to 1988. In 2017, Marilyn obtained certification as a SHRM-SCP from SHRM.
