Loc Bao

Loc Bao has a diverse work experience across various industries. They began their career in 2015 as a Civil Affairs Team Leader for the 97th Civil Affairs Battalion, where they led joint training missions and disaster recovery efforts. In 2017, Loc served as the Deputy Director and Engagement Officer for Officer Security Cooperation-Iraq, contributing to post-ISIS strategy and tribal relationships in Anbar Province. They also developed strategic police training programs and were recognized by senior coalition leaders. Loc then transitioned to the US Army as the Deputy Civil Military Operations Chief, where they served until 2018.

In 2018, Loc joined NPower, a nonprofit organization dedicated to training and placing veterans and underserved individuals in the tech sector. As an Internship Placement Manager, they were successful in improving internship donation revenue by 40% and achieving a 100% internship placement rate at NPower's San Jose office. They left NPower in 2019.

In 2020, Loc took on an internship role as a Strategic Pricing MBA Intern at GE Renewable Energy. They gained valuable experience in this role before moving on to other opportunities.

In 2021, Loc began working as a Test Prep Tutor at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company, and as a Student Project Mentor at Polygence. These roles demonstrate their commitment to education and mentoring.

Most recently, in 2021, Loc joined IBM as a Consultant in Corporate Strategy & Development. They were promoted to Senior Consultant in September 2022, showcasing their growth and expertise in the field.

Loc Bao earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Management Science from Yale School of Management. They attended the school from 2019 to 2021. Prior to their MBA, Loc Bao obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in English Language and Literature from the United States Military Academy at West Point, attending from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to their degrees, Loc Bao also acquired two certifications. They obtained a certification in Management Excellence & Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt from Optness Institute in November 2019. They also earned a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in August 2019.
