Wenwei Xiong

Wenwei Xiong is a founding engineer at Polymer Labs since October 2021, focusing on developing foundational web3 infrastructure and cross-chain messaging systems for multi-chain native applications. Previously, Xiong served as a Senior Customer Solutions Architect at Paradigm4 from August 2019 to October 2021, where proprietary computational platforms for drug discovery and clinical research were built. As the Lead Computational Biologist and Software Engineering Manager at Avitide, Inc. between January 2018 and August 2019, Xiong led a team that developed tools for optimizing resin binding affinity, including a graph database backend and interactive data visualization tools. From May 2010 to December 2017, Xiong worked as a Bioinformatics Scientist at Montclair State University, achieving over 1,000 citations across prominent publications. Xiong also contributed as a Visiting Scholar at Montclair State University and conducted doctoral research at Tongji University, culminating in a Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2011, with notable publications and algorithm development for predicting protein characteristics.
