Francisco Palma

Francisco Palma is the current Founder and CTO at PolyNatural. Francisco has also been with the company for 7 years and 7 months, in which time they have taken on various roles such as Founding President, Fundador, Chief Operating Office, and Fundador y Gerente General. In these roles, they have been responsible for leading the company in raising capital from both public and private sources, as well as managing the formation of the company. Prior to working at PolyNatural, Francisco Palma spent 8 years at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where they obtained their PhD in Engineering Science. Francisco also held positions such as Phd Candidate and Asistente de Investigación during their time there. Francisco's research focus was in the area of Food, Biomaterials, and Biotechnology, specifically in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Most recently, Francisco Palma worked on a project titled "Asesoría en Poscosecha de Berries" with Hortifrut SA (HF). In this role, they were responsible for applying edible coatings based on natural biopolymers and extracts to extend the shelf life of berries. This project lasted for 4 months.

Francisco Palma has a PhD in Engineering Sciences from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a degree in Bioquímico from Universidad Austral de Chile. Francisco's research topic for their PhD was "Extensión de la vida útil de alimentos mediante la incorporación de sistemas naturales".
