Seoyeon Hong

Seoyeon Hong, Ph.D., is an experienced analytical scientist currently serving as the Analytical Validation Team Lead at PolyPeptide Group since January 2021, where responsibilities include managing analytical methods validation projects for peptides and modified oligos, overseeing a validation team, and collaborating with various departments. Prior to this role, Seoyeon was a Mass Spectrometry Scientist at the same company, focusing on analytical development and validation related to mass spectrometry analysis of peptides and oligonucleotides. Seoyeon completed a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Washington, where expertise in ion mobility and native mass spectrometry of intact proteins was developed under the guidance of Prof. Matthew Bush. Additional experience includes serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and holding research positions at the University at Albany, SUNY, where Seoyeon conducted research on RNA and nucleic acids. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University at Albany and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Washington.
