Eileen Mertens has had extensive work experience in the actuarial software and consulting industry. Eileen first joined PolySystems, Inc. in 1991 as a Programmer Analyst, where they developed and maintained Universal Life and Annuity valuation and projection systems. Eileen also supported reporting programs and utility programs written in C and maintained COBOL programs on a UNISYS mainframe.
In 1996, Eileen briefly worked at Prospective Health, Inc. as a Programmer Analyst. Here, they created a system using Windows SDK, C, and TCP/IP to submit prescription drug information for drug interaction checks. Eileen also developed and maintained stored procedures in Oracle and Sybase.
Returning to PolySystems, Inc. in 1997, Eileen took on the role of Manager, Universal Life Programming Services. Eileen became the technical lead for Universal Life and Annuity valuation and projection systems, working with C, C++, and C++/CLI. Eileen also played a key part in developing and maintaining sophisticated financial reporting software.
In 2006, Eileen was promoted to Vice President at PolySystems, Inc. In this role, they became the technical development leader for the company, overseeing a team of 18 software developers. Eileen spearheaded the integration of PolySystems with Microsoft HPC and IBM Platform distributed-computing environments.
