Cynthia Castillo, LCSW

Cynthia Castillo, LCSW has extensive work experience in the mental health field. Cynthia currently works as a Perinatal Mental Health Specialist at Pomelo Care since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Psychotherapist in Private Practice since February 2023. From October 2022 to March 2023, they worked as a Mental Health Clinician III at Rutgers-University Behavioral Health Care.

Cynthia has also worked as a Mental Health Therapist at Tia from December 2021 to August 2022. From May 2021 to November 2021, they served as both a Manager, Culture and Community Engagement and a Psychotherapist at Cobb Psychotherapy LCSW.

Earlier in their career, Cynthia worked as a Social Worker at The Mount Sinai Hospital from December 2019 to March 2020. Cynthia also worked as a Bilingual Clinician at Lutheran Social Services of New York from May 2019 to December 2019.

Before that, Cynthia gained experience as a Social Worker at The Child Center of NY, where they provided individual and family therapy to children and their families, conducted assessments and evaluations, and utilized play therapy and Child Parent Psychotherapy. Cynthia worked there from September 2018 to May 2019.

Cynthia also worked at Barrier Free Living, where they served as a Social Worker and provided case management and counseling to survivors of domestic violence with disabilities. Cynthia also worked as a Housing Specialist Case Manager during their time there from March 2016 to September 2018.

At Safe Horizon, Cynthia worked as a Senior Case Manager from October 2013 to August 2015.

Cynthia Castillo, LCSW, completed their Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from New York University from 2016 to 2018, specializing in Social Work. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Illinois State University, graduating in 2015.

Cynthia has also acquired additional certifications in their field. Cynthia obtained their License in Clinical Social Work from the New York State Office of Professions in February 2023, and they became a Licensed Social Worker through the NJ Social Work Board in April 2020.
