Alexa Block

Alexa Block is an experienced professional in journalism and content strategy, currently serving as the Associate Director of News and Strategic Content at Pomona College since August 2021. In addition to this role, Alexa also coaches volleyball at Rancho Valley Volleyball Club, Inc., starting in November 2022, and previously led as the Head Volleyball Coach at Claremont High School from May 2022 to March 2024. Prior experience includes positions as a Digital Content Producer at 12 News (KPNX-TV, NBC) and as a Multimedia Journalist at KREM 2 News, WWAY-TV, LLC, and KOTA Territory News. Alexa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Pacific University and a Master of Science in Digital Audience Strategy from Arizona State University, complemented by further studies at Portland State University.
