Biruk Gizaw

Biruk Gizaw is a Computer Science bachelor's degree candidate at Pomona College, expected to graduate in May 2026. Currently serving as a Resident Advisor at Pomona College since January 2024, Biruk collaborates with a diverse team to foster a positive residential community for 60 residents, organizes events, and ensures compliance with university policies through regular inspections. Previously, as an Academy Scholar at LA-Tech.org from February to May 2023, Biruk led a project to create a virtual machine and backup server using AWS, gaining insights into Cybersecurity and IT while enhancing communication skills. Earlier experience includes an internship at Atlas Scholars from June 2020 to June 2021, where Biruk developed industry knowledge through networking with Fortune 500 companies and performed simulations of financial and environmental issues.
