Ethan Tu

Ethan Tu is an accomplished researcher and leader currently engaged in ocular imaging and computer vision at the University of California, Berkeley, while also contributing to a prestigious Fulbright Canada Mitacs Globalink project focused on ALS detection and music recognition through advanced AI techniques. As the Founder and President of the Claremont Math Club, Ethan fosters a robust academic community and supports mentorship programs in local high schools. Additionally, Ethan serves as a Writing Fellow at Pitzer College, guiding students in academic writing and leveraging expertise in data analysis and generative AI. Leadership roles also include President of the Pitzer Investment Fund, where Ethan manages a six-figure portfolio, and multiple positions at Pomona College related to club financial management and growth. Previous experience includes software development, community research, and co-founding a marketing-focused startup, alongside an ongoing academic pursuit of a dual Bachelor of Arts in Data Science from Claremont McKenna College and Pitzer College.
