Francisco Castillo

Francisco Castillo is an accomplished oboist and educator with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Since August 2000, Francisco has served as an Oboe Professor at Pomona College, Pasadena City College, and the Idyllwild Arts Academy. Francisco has held the position of Principal Oboe with the Redlands Symphony and California Philharmonic since August 1988, while also performing as an English Horn player for the New West Symphony. Additionally, Francisco has been an Oboe Professor and Chamber Music Instructor at the Los Angeles High School for the Arts since August 1988 and has been affiliated with the University of Redlands as an Oboe Professor since August 1989. Francisco earned a Licenciatura in Music from the University of Costa Rica and furthered studies at the University of Southern California.
