Samuel So is a doctoral candidate in Human Centered Design and Engineering at the University of Washington, with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Pomona College. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at Pomona College's Human-Computer Interaction Lab, Samuel So focuses on analyzing online health forum posts related to antidepressant tapering and has conducted studies on the impact of shared-gaze in remote collaborations. Previous experience includes working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant on a social robot project at the University of Washington, and as a Research Assistant at Columbia University's Social and Moral Cognition Lab, where studies explored children's moral understanding. Additional roles include positions at Haverford College, where Samuel So contributed to various initiatives at the Pan-Asian Resource Center and the Annual Giving Program.
