Tom Nelson

Tom Nelson is an experienced professional in engineering and project management, currently serving as a Federal Senior Project Manager at Pond & Company since August 2021. Prior to this role, Tom held positions at PPM Consultants, Inc. as a Proposal/Grant Writer, and at Hargrove Engineers + Constructors as a Senior Project Manager and Government Infrastructure Development Leader. Tom's extensive experience includes serving as the Deputy District Commander for the US Army Corps of Engineers' Mobile District, overseeing more than 1,150 personnel and a budget exceeding $2.0 billion. Tom's military background includes significant roles as a Combat Engineer Officer in the US Army and an Indirect Fire Infantryman in the Georgia Army National Guard. Tom holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Georgia.
